Sept. 10, 2018
Hi and welcome to the inaugural edition of Tim’s Tidbits. I am Tim Lees, physical therapist and owner of Harrison Physical Therapy in Harrison, Ohio. We are conveniently located in Southwest, Ohio very near to Cincinnati, right on the border of Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. I like to call it, “God’s Country”. My wife, Janet , and I never dreamed that 25 years ago when we embarked on the journey of our own private practice clinic that we would be still at it in the same place , doing the same thing, being blessed by God with the success He has granted us through our business.
It has truly been an honor and joy to serve the Greater Harrison community for these 25 years. And now, in honor of that milestone, I will be bringing you regular thoughts and feelings about the delivery of physical therapy as well as the new and/or featured services or themes that we will be called to address with you. I will attempt to weave these themes in and out of our experience as a practice owners and service providers as well as connect them with the real “boots on the ground” life that we all are called to lead.
So, here at Harrison Physical Therapy we are initiating a very important service this month. Our formal Balance Program will be launched at the end of the month in a very special way. We are inviting the community to come together at our office and learn about how an official concentration on balance development and progression can improve one’s safety at home, one’s longevity for living independently and one’s overall improvement of their quality of life as well as the life of their loved ones.
Just as we can look at Balance from a rehabilitative way, I also am brought to an image of a mirror for a bit of self analysis and accountabilty before God. Just as we need to work on balance for our physical health and safety, we are called to strive for balance in our practical lives. As a husband to a beautiful wife, a father to seven children and grandfather to seven living grandchildren, I am challenged to achieve balance in the practical aspects of my life. To strive to achieve balance between career, work , family relationships, resposibilities at home, a fruitful prayer life, quality time with my lovely bride and children, service to the community, and church and apostolic commitments, I sometimes wonder how and when will I have time for it all?
This is when I throw myself before the Lord and beg Him for help and mercy, guidance and the spirit of right judgment as I know that the demands are much greater than me. He seems to always comfort me and yet challenge me to improve so that I , like our clients who work on their balance, may achieve greater confidence strength and stabilty, resulting always in an increased abilty to serve Him and the people that He has asked me me to serve.
How about you? How has God challenged you to develop and improve the balance throughout your life?
Feel free to comment on our website or Facebook page. May God bless you all!
