So…….let’s quickly talk about VERTIGO. Oh my, what a debilitating situation this is.
Vertigo can occur for many reasons. When it does, it creates havoc for your equilibrium and balance as the brain and the body sensors are not in sync with each other, creating dissonance and confusion for the balance system.
The message sent to the brain by the sensors is different than what the actual reality of the body is and that dissonance wins, creating spinning and loss of balance, stumbling and often falls.
So, just as in the physical vertigo that one can feel, one can have an emotional or relationship “vertigo” too. One can be “out of balance” in their life, creating havoc for oneself or one’s loved ones that are in the sphere of one’s influence. What about the “vertigo” of a one sided story, where the whole picture is not clear. The blurriness of the relationship is all you can see. Where is the peace? Where is the harmony? Where is the balance? What about the betrayal felt by an online comment or post that digs into your personhood by the person you thought was your friend?
Imbalance is a BAD thing, both in the physical and emotional world. The VERTIGO caused by these imbalances can often be crippling to the victim. There is hope in both the physical and emotional Vertigos that there can be healing.
So…. What about you? Do you suffer from VERTIGO caused by a physical or emotional reason? Are you the cause of VERTIGO for someone or something in your life? Do you need to think about healing, strengthening, balance exercises, physical therapy? Do you need to think about forgiveness or possibly being forgiven? Do you need to repent, swallow your pride and humble yourself to another that you have hurt? Or maybe stick up for yourself, realize and trust in your goodness and stand up to a bully, honoring the fact that God does not make junk?
Whatever it is, my prayer for you this week is that you seek your inner healing from the Ultimate Healer, the Great God who made you, who gave you value, and who created all of us in His image and likeness. I pray that you honor yourself and all of those around you, equally as yourself , and that you begin to get a clear vision of the balance God desires for your life.
No more VERTIGO…………It’s time to get BALANCED.
May God Bless you all.
