When 3000 lbs fell on his right ankle and crushed it, back in October 2016, Cory Hunt wasn’t sure he’d walk again.
He started coming to physical therapy back in January – getting around on crutches and putting no weight on the leg at all. Over the last 05 months he has worked hard, 3 days a week, needing less and less help getting around. He went from crutches to a cane, and then to an immobilizer boot. Now he feels more and more confident and independent.
Today we celebrated 2 milestones for Cory – getting his new brace (which he will need to wear until he gets reconstructive surgery next year) and getting behind the wheel again for the first time in 8 months.
Cory’s dramatic improvement is matched by his dedication to getting his routine life back. He’s pictured here walking around the cones and the treadmill. The prospect of getting on a treadmill initially terrified him, but he can get on and get moving today without batting an eye. We are so proud and happy for you Cory!
